Meet Amanda Kimberley, author of the Absolute Alphas Boxset from the Paranormal Romance That Rocks Boxset Collection.
What were you like at school?
I wasn’t part of any particular click. I floated from group to group and was friendly with everyone but I mostly kept to myself.
Were you good at English?
Yes and that was the only subject I didn’t struggle with.
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I’ve really never had any because I don’t consider my writing a career.
Which writers inspire you?
There are just too many to name but my first was Shakespeare.
So, what have you written?
I write both fiction and nonfiction. My fiction is mostly romance and my nonfiction mostly deals with the disease fibromyalgia. I’ve been a featured author and blogger over the past decade on various writing and health sites and I’m also a best seller nationally and internationally.

What are you working on at the minute?
To Hell With Carpets, Absolute Alphas, Salem’Salem’s Trial by Township, Forever Immortal, and The Cure
What’s it about?
To Hell With Carpets is a contemporary romance about a gal caregiving for her grandparents while taking care of her children and how she rediscovers her love for her husband. It’s based on my real life. Absolute Alphas is a paranormal romance about a gal named Fallon who has to decide between the love she has for Gavin and the love she has for her pack when she comes face to face with him in a civil war between their packs. Salem’s Trial by Township is about a husband and wife who move from Ireland to Salem Mass during the witch trials and there is talk about the husband being a witch because of his “strange” harvesting practices with the largest apple crop in all of Salem. Forever Immortal is book 5 of the Forever series and in this one both Skye and Morgan learn that they are pregnant and they must protect their babies from ruler of everything evil. The Cure is about a hunter who is faced with the worst demon possible, cancer and her only way to beat it comes by Chance, a vampire who falls for her.
What genre are your books?
I’m a multi-genre author
How much research do you do to add depth to your works?
TONS!
Have you written any other books in collaboration with other writers?
I contribute to anthologies but I haven’t written a single book with anyone since middle school.
When did you decide to become a writer?
I don’t think I ever decided. Writing is like breathing to me. I just do it to survive.
Why do you write?
Writing has been my constant in life and has helped me work through a lot of the negative that comes into my life. It’s like chatting with a best friend over a cup of coffee to me.
What made you decide to sit down and actually start something?
The characters and voices compel me to write because many of them don’t shut up until I do.
What is the hardest thing about writing?
Eating junk food while I’m editing my first –fifth draft.
Do you read much and if so who are your favourite authors.
I try to read at least one book a month. I do a lot of article reading and research through books for my stories. I also beta read for authors so it’s rare that I get to read stuff “just for fun”.
How do you relax?
I don’t relax and my husband always tells me I should. LOL!
What is your favourite quote?
“A word is dead when it is said some say. I say it just begins to live that day.” ~Emily Dickinson
What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Keep writing and you want to give up write some more.
