Layers and Layers of Tactile Enjoyment ~ 5 Stars Gladly Rated
In Book 2, the story line starts evenly and with a smooth transition from Book 1. This story, however, has several added depths of new villains, new characters and new challenges. This delightfully spun fairytale demonstrates the author’s own writing style deliciously in steamy sex scenes and charming humorous banter and circumstances. It is an evenly balanced story with substantive descriptions and imagery so tangible, you will dream in technicolor about it at night.
I wonder if Mr. Michaels is an artist as well as an author as his colorful use of comprehensive descriptions comes so naturally to him and adds layers and layers of tactile enjoyment to all his books. The characters seem so real, yet we know they are fairytale charmers. Mr. Michael’s stories are believable, captivating and wildly entertaining.
This book comes affectionately recommended at 5 full stars. Buy it, buy the series. You will enjoy them all as they are all beautifully executed. ~MW

A continuation in the Jack's Magical Beanstalk series. Same characters, Sam and Jack, however new villains. Follows the guys back up the beanstalk, fighting the giants and returning home. Not overly exciting but entertaining enough. A little predictable.

JACK'S MAGICAL BEANSTALK & THE JEWELED GROTTO
by Pablo Michaels
This sequel to Jack's magical beanstalk is a fun sexy m/m short story that is filled with laughs and steamy hot scenes. This book picked up smoothly from the first one and was an easy continuation of the story of Jack and Sam. In this book Sam is anxious to get home to see his family even to the point he does a few things that he knows Jack will frown upon. The author brings to life this fun continuation with a great feel for the characters and a few life lessons thrown in for good measure. A cute short story that does give you enough if you choose to read it as a stand alone but is much better when read together with the first book.

3.0 out of 5 stars It was ok...

I love the fairy tales and I'm always interested in reading different takes on them, but I ended this book feeling rather ambivalent about it. I didn't hate it, but I didn't love it either. The characters were interesting enough but rather predictable and as the storyline unfolded it just failed to hold my interest.
I voluntarily read an Advance Review Copy of this book.
4.0 out of 5 stars Great Second Book
By Robin on October 9, 2016
Format: Kindle Edition
This is the second installment in this series.
I liked how the story picked up where that last one left off giving the nice even transition to the storyline. Like most series it is nice to read the stories in order so that you don't miss anything. It also helps in making things more clear.
The characters had that same feel to them. You could and can relate to what they are going through. The author brings them to life.
In the Jeweled Grotto...Sam strays from Jack a little. A tiny indiscretion. He wants to return to his home to check on family. Sneaking off is never good. As for Sam he soon learns.
The author adds those life lessons to help in discovering out what we want out of life. Mr. Michaels gave us things to think about.
I have really enjoyed reading this author. He has a way of helping with the challenge of life in a magical way.
