The Author P.T. Macias

Romance of Mythical Empires By P.T. Macias
I've been reading in the romance and suspense genre since I was a young girl. I dreamed of writing paranormal tales that are packed with fiery romance, incredible sexy wild men, exciting realms, and a dash of suspense.
My greatest thrill in writing the paranormal genre are the limitless range of characteristics, powers, and weaknesses available to develop the characters' and realms. I love sexy angels, gods, vampires, werewolves, dragons, and other entities.
Born and raised in San Jose, California. I now live in Sacramento, California with my gorgeous, loving husband and children. My four beautiful grandchildren are my stars. When I'm not writing I love going on cruises, to concerts, munching on white peaches, pistachio ice cream, and sipping margaritas.
Hold him close, hold him tight, and never let him go!

Section 1:What were you like at school?
I was too anxious to grow up. I was bored with the activities and classmates in high school. I started working, got married, had my children, went to college, and now I write.
Were you good at English? Hmmm. . . . . . I believe so.
What are your ambitions for your writing career?
I’m working on having the readers enjoy my work and to be validated by being a NYT & USA Today Bestseller.
Which writers inspire you?
Well, I don’t have one that inspired me. I do enjoy several authors.
So, what have you written?
I have written several books, about 40+.
See Book showcase page:}
Section 2:
What are you working on at the minute?
I’m working on several books. Angels Of The Fallen: Lucifer, Claiming My Angel, Wolff Dynasty, Shadowrealm I’m co-writing with P. Mattern. All of these will be out by the end of the year.
What’s it about?
Lucifer, the first fallen angel, is the banished to Hell. Lucifer, the angel of light, the morning star fights for his soul, and sanity deep in the fiery pits of hell.
Angel Sofiel is an angel in training and waiting for her assignment. She misses Lucifer in the lecture halls and decides to pay him a visit.
He's naughty, oh so naughty! Lucifer is up to no good! He's sinfully hot, brutally honest, and utterly lonely!
Angel Sofiel, is desperate to provide solace, her soul, and companionship. She’s anxious to set free his tormented soul, and she holds the key.
Sparks, love, and passion explode. Lucifer has met his soul mate! He fears his soul, fights his heart, and scorns her.
Angel Sofiel assignment forces her to descend into Hell. She pushes his buttons and tortures his soul!
After thousands of years watching her, longing for one more taste, he gives in. Angel Sofiel descends to do her job and learns that love and passion is why Lucifer shuns her.
Thousands of years later he's given one chance to redeem. The sheer exhaustion of segregation, scorn, and the eternal punishment as a fallen has left our sexy but naughty angel, Lucifer, desperate.
What would you give for one night of unbridled passion? Will his soul ever be saved?
Now evil threatens the world and the Watchers are our only hope. Falling from grace was easy; eternal suffering has become commonplace, wishing for death an everyday occurrence but when faced with a chance for redemption Lucifer fears he could fail.
Time is running out. Evil forces threaten the very survival of the human race. Our only hope. . . . . The Watchers.
The fate of humanity lies in the hands of these twelve stunningly sexy, sinful fallen angels. Only destiny knows if they will save us or doom to hell.
The Watchers are waiting, wanting . . . . . . needing you. It's time to live life on the dark side.
What genre are your books?
Paranormal Romance Fantasy
What draws you to this genre?
The vast possibilities of worlds and beings that I can create is what draws me to this genre.
Which actress would you like to see playing you in your most recent book if it was adapted for the big screen?
I would like to have an actress that fits my characters even if they’re not known.
How much research do you do to add depth to your stories?
I research as I need to do to create the story.
Have you written any other books in collaboration with other writers?
Yes, I’m currently co-authoring the Shadowrealm with P. Mattern.

What is the hardest thing about writing?
The hardest thing about writing is having to finish the story and you don’t have more of it. LMAO!
What was the hardest thing about writing your latest memoir?
The hardest thing about writing my last book is that I really didn’t have more story and I had to really work on it. I’m used to writing and it flows out but when there is a required word count it sort of kills me.
What is the easiest thing about writing it?
The easiest thing about writing is when the story flows, the characters tell me their story.
How long on average does it take you to write a book?
It depends on the size, but a short book I can write in a couple days. It all depends if I need to do some research.
Do you ever get writer’s Block?
I did a while ago and that was like the first. I think it was because it I had to write and I didn’t want too.
Any tips on how to get through the dreaded writer’s block?
What helps me is that I read some of the previous stories that I wrote and then it pops. The other stories that belong to that series.
If this book is part of a series, tell us a little about it?
It is part of a series that I love very much. It’s about the Watchers, the fallen angels. I especially love it because I enjoy the storylines that evolves around them, and their love -soul mate. The Dark Prince that wants to take over humanity and the Watchers work on stopping him.
What are your thoughts on writing a book series.
I personally love the book series because you have so much that you can create around that world. I also would like to mention that my book series connect. I have characters in all of the series. I feel it makes it a world that the reader will enjoy.

I write my stories and I have an editor.

No, not at all. I write it, it’s done. I have it edited. That’s it. I don’t delete scenes.

Yes, I do. It attracts the reader.
How are you publishing this book and why? e.g. Indie, traditional or both?
I’m an Indie author.
What would you say are the main advantages and disadvantages of self-publishing against being published or the other way around?
I believe the advantage will be that you have complete control. The disadvantage, I would think the lack of control, the copyrights, the royalty and other stuff.
How do you market your books?
I market my books by hiring promoters, promoting myself, fb ads, tweets, so on.
Why did you choose this route?
I never submitted my work to a publisher. I don’t have a clue if they would publish it. I elected to self-publish because I didn’t want to wait for a publisher to want me and I didn’t want to give up my control.

Ask my street team.
What are your thoughts on good/bad reviews?
It’s hard to read a bad review but I try to see it as positive as I can. I try to learn and grow.
What’s your views on social media for marketing?
It’s getting hard, and difficult to get some results.
Which social network worked best for you?
I can’t really say, posting.
Any tips on what to do and what not to do?
Yes, don’t air your opinions that cause drama on anything on social media. I try to keep it friendly, but professional.
Did you do a press release, Goodreads book launch or anything else to promote your work and did it work?
I used to do press release but I didn’t see it worth the hassle. I can be wrong. Goodreads, I try to stay off that, too much drama.

Is there any marketing technique you used that had an immediate impact on your sales figures?
Yes, when I promote it works.

Why do you think that other well written books just don’t sell?
Because they don’t promote and sometimes it well written but is it interesting?
What do you think of “trailers” for books?
They’re fun but I don’t see that they cause an impact on sales.
Do you have a trailer or do you intend to create one for your own book/s?
Yes, I do have several.
Do you think that giving books away free works and why?
Yeah, because they get to read your work and buy other books.
Section 6:How do you relax?
I take a hot shower and see my Spanish soap operas, lmao!
What is your favourite motivational phrase.
Do it!
What is your favourite positive saying?
You can do this!
What is your favourite book and why?

You did great! Slow down and enjoy your life and children.
What advice would you give to aspiring writers?
Write the story!
Where do you see publishing going in the future?
I believe that it’s going to get worse because the authors are giving away the books. The readers don’t want to pay. The companies are squeezing the little royalty that we do earn.
Section 7:How can readers discover more about you and you work?
Love me, Stalk me, and Pimp me!
